Blade Recruitment is looking to fill a temporary ongoing job for a Gardener.

The Gardener job is working for a leading housing association, based near to Leyton, London.

Pay up to £16.00 per hour. M-F 8-4.

JOB DUTIES

The Gardener job will involve

The Gardener will provide high quality gardening & grounds maintenance to residential estate areas using a variety of tools, machinery and equipment.

The Gardener will carry out weeding, dead heading, hoeing, planting, pruning, cutting and watering communal beds.

The Gardener will cut and maintain lawns and grass areas, using pedestrian operated tractors & ride on mowers, strimmer's and brush cutters, fertilizer and pesticide application.

The Gardener will be responsible for small scale landscaping operations. 

The Gardener will respond promptly to acts of vandalism, including graffiti, and report all incidents. 

Other work involved with the Gardener job is to remove leaves, moss and snow as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal applicant for the Gardener job will have previous experience working as a Gardener carrying out gardening & ground maintenance.

The Gardener will have good knowledge of a wide range of plants and understanding of their growing requirements.

The Gardener will have the ability to use a wide range of horticultural machinery and powered hand tools.

Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety and being physically fit.

Preferably the Gardener will have worked in a public facing environment and be able to communicate accurately, listen & act in a polite, friendly and helpful way. 

The Gardener will be PC Literate and ideally have a UK driving licence. 

Preferably candidates for the Gardener job will have a recognised horticultural qualification.

The Gardener job is based near Leyton station, London E10 5PS.

M-F 8am-4pm.
