Our client, based in a high profile commercial office building near Westferry Station, London E14, is currently looking to fill a temporary Handyman job to support the Maintenance Engineering team & to work towards keeping the building in pristine condition. Working hours will be shift, 4 days on & 4 days off. 12 hours per day, pay rate is up to £16.50 p/h.
JOB DUTIES
The Handyman job role will include the following duties:
Carry out general building maintenance, from minor M&E fault finding & repairs to assisting with fabric work, attend to general tasks such as hot & cold water supply, blocked drains, changing filters, toilets, minor spillages, water treatment, office moves, replacement of light bulbs and lamps, painting & decorating & some first line HVAC maintenance. To carry out routine checks on building plant & equipment. Reporting and logging of all breakdowns & faults.
Responsible for the basic electrical & mechanical maintenance, bms systems and plant.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate for the Handyman job, will be multi skilled, hardworking & have a proven track record in maintenance, with excellent communication skills & be well presented and professional in approach at work.
Ideally have worked in the job role of Maintenance Engineer & understand the requirements of the job, have a good understanding of Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance & live within a good commute to the site in Westferry, London.
The candidate would be able to work on their own with minimal supervision, be organised & responsable, and have a good eye for attention to detail, someone who is diligent, professional and intuitive.
Have previous experience in a handyman job role that was a customer facing environment.
Good skills, knowledge & experience in plumbing & HVAC maintenance would be a plus, combined with a “can do” attitude.

The hours are 12 hours, 4 on, 4 off, days only.
Overtime available.
