Blade recruitment is currently recruiting for various Maintenance Assistant jobs in the Canary Wharf & London area. The Maintenance Assistant job is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the buildings and grounds.

Maintenance Assistant jobs are paying up to £30k pa depending on experience, working 40 hours per week and are urgent and ideally the candidates for the
Maintenance Assistant jobs will be able to start immediately.
Job Duties
The Maintenance Assistant jobs will be responsible for:
Preventative planned maintenance and reactive maintenance of plant and equipment.
Tasks will include basic plumbing work, hot and cold water supply, basic HVAC 1st line maintenance, painting & general building work.
The
maintenance assistant jobs will include emergency repairs, out of hours call outs, fire alarm checks, safety checks and maintaining the asset register.
Performing site inductions for site contractors and assisting specialist contractors when required.
Job Requirements
The candidates for the Maintenance Assistant jobs will ideally:
Have previous job experience working in a maintenance engineering job role, ideally with experience in a previous maintenance assistant job role.
Hold a valid UK driver’s licence.
Preferably have a relevant qualification, something that will be useful in a building maintenance assistant job role such as a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in Electrics, HVAC, Carpentry or plumbing.
Have a good understanding of the health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
Be able to do 1 in 5 weeks on call for emergency call outs.
Job Location
The Maintenance Assistant jobs are mobile around the Canary Wharf and London area, candidates can drive or catch trains to sites as most work is closely located and easy to get to.
