Maintenance Handyman Jobs in London
An exciting contract position is available for a Handyman with a maintenance engineering background, within an inhouse team & the job role is to start immediately. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm & the pay rate will be up to £15 per hour depending on exp.
JOB DUTIES
The maintenance handyman job will involve preventative planned & reactive maintenance of plant and equipment.
The handyman job will involve general maintenance, mechanical maintenance, unblocking toilets & sinks, Changing washers, hot & cold water supply, general office moves & fabric maintenance.
Duties may include basic electric, hvac & plumbing maintenance, blocked sinks, sorting leaks, toilets; Electric - changing light bulbs, upgrading electrical components, resetting fuse boards; Plantroom - dealing with heating issues, heating pumps, leaking valves etc. repairs on electrical, mechanical building components.
The handyman will also be responsible for emergency light testing, plant room inspections, flushing outlets, inspections of pumps, air handling units, chillers, water tanks, expansion vessels, showers etc, weekly fire alarm test and similar.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The maintenance Handyman job will be suitable for a candidate who has worked as a handyman/maintenance engineer in a commercial building maintenance job role in the past.
Ideally the candidate will be multi skilled & live within a commutable distance of the site in London. A trade qualification eg Electrician, Plumber or HVAC would be a plus. This would be a good role for a starter, looking for experience. Honest, hard working and reliable.
