Mechanical Engineer

£36k, M-F 40hrs pw

Our client, a provider of facilities maintenance services, is looking to fill a permanent job for a Mechanical Engineer to work at a high profile building based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

Salary up to £36k. 40hrs pw. Shifts between 8am-6pm, M-F.

Call-out rota (paid standby), occasional evening and weekend work paid as overtime. 

JOB DUTIES

The Mechanical Engineer job will involve

The Mechanical Engineer will carry out mechanical, heating, plumbing maintenance and repairs throughout the estate.

The Mechanical Engineer will carry out occasional new installation works.

The Mechanical Engineer will complete PPM’s including water temperature readings and shower head cleaning.

The Mechanical Engineer will assist other trades as required. 

The Mechanical Engineer will participate in providing an out-of-hours response service.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Mechanical Engineer will hold qualifications or completed apprenticeship in a mechanical, heating or plumbing trade discipline.

The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have experience working in a commercial environment.

The Mechanical Engineer will be familiar with heating and plumbing installations and plant in large buildings – installation and maintenance. 

Preferred Mechanical Engineer will have experience with heat exchange system and gas fired boiler systems maintenance. 

The Mechanical Engineer will have the ability to work with minimum supervision and to tight deadlines. Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

The Mechanical Engineer will hold a clean driving licence.

JOB LOCATION

The Mechanical Engineer job is based near to Hatfield station in Hertfordshire AL9 5AB.

Salary up to £36k

40hrs pw, M-F between 8am-6pm.
