Blade Recruitment is urgently trying to fill handyman jobs for Gravesend in Kent. The handyman jobs are for the maintenance and upkeep of a healthcare facility near the Gravesend, Kent area.

The handyman jobs are permanent, the salary is currently around the £28k mark pa, this is negotiable depending on experience. The hours for the handyman job roles will be M-F, 40hrs per week, 8hr shifts between 8am & 6pm plus callouts and excellent benefits on offer.

Job Duties

• The Handyman jobs for Gravesend, Kent area are to be covering 2 local sites.
  
• Duties for the handyman job role include preventative Planned Maintenance & reactive maintenance of plant and equipment.
  
• Carrying out minor repairs including general carpentry, plumbing, painting, re-glazing, unblocking sinks, changing locks, changing light bulbs, replacing tap washers, easing doors. The handyman job role will be responsible for keeping the grounds free of litter and debris.
  
• Responsible for the bins area and refuse, and ensuring that the areas are clean and maintained.
• The handyman job roles include minor administration tasks, logging reports of work in progress, ordering stock, tools and supplies and any other administrative tasks as required by the job role.
  

Job Requirements

The ideal candidates for the handyman jobs will have:

• Previous experience in a similar handyman job role, ideally working in a medical maintenance job role eg. a hospital, doctor's rooms or other healthcare facility.
• Applicants for the handyman jobs, ideally will be multi-skilled and have excellent building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  
• a clean driving licence would be a bonus for any handyman applying for the handyman job role - this helps for any site callouts.
  
• It is vital that the candidates for the handyman jobs have good presentation skills, excellent communication skills & a good working history with checkable references.

Job Location

The Handyman Jobs are ideally for an immediate start, based near the main train station in Gravesend, Kent DA11 0HP.

The client has indicated that if any of the applicants for the Handyman jobs require a delayed start due to notice in their current job role, this will be honoured if agreed.

Job Offer

The Handyman Jobs are permanent.

• The salary is £27k pa, however exceptional trade qualified applicants for the handyman job role, could be assessed - to £35k. (There could be a similar handyman job role in Gravesend on another site in the coming weeks. TBC)
